2017 Annual Meeting Minutes

2017 Annual Meeting

The annual meeting was held at member James Espey's home in Houston on Saturday, January 13, 2018.  Members in attendance:
- Tom Ossowski
- Matthew Pautz
- Bob Bucher
- Dave Boratyn
- Steve Eubanks
- Tony & Shirley Darrow
- Barry Hackney
- Ed Lorts
- James Espey
- Active members unable to attend: Joe Beatty

Agenda:

Previous meeting minutes were approved. Treasurer's report was read and the Annual membership dues of $20.00 was collected at this time.
Member board nominations/elections for a two year term were conducted with the following members elected to club positions:
President:  Open  (temporarily filled by VP: Matthew C. Pautz). Our current President, Tom Ossowski, stepped down from the position due to family medical issues that both he and his wife Sharon will be facing this year.

The membership was unable to elected a new President during this meeting.  According to chapter rules and regulations the current Vice            President will assume President duties until such time a new president is elected.

Vice President: Matthew C. Pautz
Secretary: Dave Boratyn
Treasurer: Bob Bucher

All members wanted to express their appreciation and many thanks to Tom for getting this Avanti club up and running!  Hurray!!

Other/New Business Possibilities:  
- Talked very briefly about finding new members.  Need to get website up and running again and actively recruit new members  http://www.ThirdCoastAvanti.com   (can use AOAI national organization, Dale Sexton, to assist,  if necessary)

- Briefly discussed having another Avanti Inspection/Maintenance day.  (need more discussion for a time & place).

- Bob Bucher recommended that we try to get space at the annual AutoRama Car Show held during the Thanksgiving weekend, to show our cars.  James Espey will check with an acquaintence of his for information/applications for cars to be shown. Bob thought that the cost to enter a car was $50.00.

- Future Events to consider:  (those of you who may be more familiar with any event, please contact me and I'll get the information out).

  - Houston Auto Show, Jan.24-26.
  - Gateway Classic Car.,  tour of showroom:  February  (date & time to follow)
  - Coffee & Cars in The Woodlands, Market St. area; (first Sunday morning of ea. month, 8am)
  - Coffee & Cars in Memorial City mall parking lot
  - April 7th (Saturday): Steve Ewbank Ranch gathering/meeting, (Hempstead, Tx.)  (mark the date).
  - 4th of July Woodlands parade (more to follow)
  - Atascasita area Saturday meets.
  - Rt 105 Cruisers meet at Magnolia Grill.
  - AutoRama Car Show - Thanksgiving weekend.
  - Other venues - let us know.
